The Vortex was introduced in 2000 and won Sailboat of the year. It is a novel "tunnel hull" design, not easy to sail, not easy to right after a capsize, but blindingly quick - even without the asymmetric kite which was introduced in 2004. We have 3 or 4 of these in the club.
