A Fuzzy 'Fuzz' |
When Peter 'Fuzz' Jordan arrived at Sheffield University in October 1967, Tenpin Bowling was a popular sport, but there was no student bowling club to join. So Fuzz decided to start one, and for the next five or six years we had a great time bowling and boozing, and we even managed to win the National Championships three years running. For the full story see the History.
But though the bowling and boozing was great (not to mention the bridge and other b_words), the real success of the club was in creating some lasting friendships and even one or two life-long partnerships. So when a 25-year reunion was suggested for 1992 the turnout was impressive, with people travelling from all over the world. |
The reunion has become a regular 3-year event, and as we now have the technology, this website . . . is for the old bowlers of the Sheffield Students Tenpin Bowling Club.
