Palm Sunday Walk 2007

What a glorious day for a walk!

At midday on 1st April 2007, 55 parishioners, 3 dogs and 1 Pink Panther set off from St. Marys in Penistone. The walk follows the Trans Pennine Trail and finishes in St. Ann's Deepcar (about 7 miles we think). We arrived at St. Ann's at 2.45 pm and were treated to a feast of soup, bread and cheese, for which we were all very grateful. The walk is a sponsored event in aid of the Lourdes Fund, and this year we have added World Youth Day as a beneficiary. However as Father always says it is more a social occasion than anything else and it is always great to see everyone chatting and catching up with each other.

This is an annual event and we will be happy to accomodate any new walkers next year.
